:: your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running

"Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running"... I had just updated Java because somehow an older version of java plugin stopped functionning yesterday. Then I got this error. What to do? Of course, it "sufficed" to change the security setting, but how?

The official java documentation says that I can change the setting in the Java Control Panel, but my Java Control Panel doesn't provide the option mentionned in the doc...

It turns out that the version of "my" Java Control Panel, which I installed while Java was still in ubuntu package via adept, was simply too old. Java Control Panel comes with JRE, so all I had to do is to use the Java Control Panel from the newest version of JRE. But where do I find it? The official documentation tells you where to find it for MacOS and Windows, but not for Linux! Well, it is in the path of java executive. In my case, it is /usr/java/jre1.7.0_51/bin/jcontrol.
